Bogenschießen ist, ähnlich wie bei vielen Kampfsportarten, heute vor allem ein Sport, hat aber auch einen meditativen Anteil. So kann man mit dem Bogen seine innere Ruhe als Ausgleich zum stressigen Alltag finden, genauso wie man sich für Wettbewerbe vorbereiten kann.
In diesem Kurs wird vor allem das traditionelle „instinktive“ Bogenschießen mit dem Recurvebogen gelehrt, also ohne Visier und Technik, nur mit Pfeil und Bogen. Wir zeigen euch im Laufe der Zeit aber auch die anderen Möglichkeiten, wie den verschiedenen WorldArchery-Formaten (ehemals FITA), dass man vielleicht von den Olympischen Spielen kennt, und wie es auch in den Hochschulmeisterschaften benutzt wird, oder 3D-Ziele aus Plastik, die man bei eher jagdlichen Turnieren benutzt.
Für das Training bitte dem Wetter angepasste Kleidung mitbringen, da wir bei jedem Wetter außen schießen werden. Auch bei Regen und Schnee wird im Freien trainiert. Denkt also an entsprechend warme oder regendichte Kleidung und Schuhe oder an den Sonnenschutz, und v.a. im Sommer an ausreichend Getränke.
Für alle Neu-Interessierte - Anfänger*innen und Fortgeschrittene:
- Informationsabend (Zeit und Datum s.u.) - Wir haben aufgrund des verfügbaren Platzes und der notwendigen Sicherheit leider insgesamt nur wenige Teilnehmer*innenplätze, daher sollten nur ernsthafte Interessierte zum Informationsabend kommen. Wir können leider erst vor Ort feststellen, wer daran teilnehmen kann – sollte es mehr Teilnehmer*innen als freie Plätze geben, werden wir im Zweifelsfall losen müssen. Der Informationsabend findet online statt. Der Link zum Onlinemeeting wird am selben Tag nur den Angemeldeten mitgeteilt. Sollte vorab klar sein, dass alle Plätze durch die Vorsemester-Teilnehmer*innen und Warteliste schon voll belegt sein, findet ggf. auch kein Informationsabend mehr statt! Das ist allerdings meist erst kurz vor dem Infoabend bekannt!
- Ab Semesterbeginn beginnt auch der reguläre freie Schießbetrieb (für neue fortgeschrittene TN nach dem Infoabend, für Anfänger*innen nach dem Kurs)
- Im Wintersemester ist freier Schießbetrieb Samstag von 12 bis 15* Uhr (* maximal bis Sonnenuntergang).
- Im Sommersemester ist freier Schießbetrieb Samstag von 12 bis 15 Uhr und Mittwoch 18 bis 21* Uhr (* maximal bis Sonnenuntergang).
- Auch in Vorlesungsfreien Zeiten.
- Parcours-Ausflug. Unter Umständen und bei ausreichend Interesse unter den Teilnehmer*innen des Kurses werden wir einen Ausflug zu einem Bogenparcours unternehmen, um das Gelernte im Feld auszutesten. Nähere Absprachen dazu im Kurs selbst.
Für Neu-Anfänger*innen:
- Die 3 Anfängerkurs-Termine sind Pflichttermine (genaue Termine am Infoabend!), bei dem jede*r neue Anfänger*in anwesend sein muss . Wir werden euch hier die Grundlagen zu Sicherheit und Technik vermitteln, die notwendig sind und jede*r wissen muss, um am regulären freien Schießbetrieb teilnehmen zu können. Wer jetzt schon weiß, nicht an jedem dieser Termine teilnehmen zu können, braucht leider auch nicht zum Informationsabend zu kommen (vielleicht klappt es dann im nächsten Semester) - die drei Termine sind im Sommersemester meistens Anfang/Mitte Mai und im Wintersemester Anfang/Mitte November und immer Samstag 12 bis 15 Uhr.
- Bogen, Armschutz und Fingerschutz werden für den Kurs von der Uni zur Verfügung gestellt. Eigene Bögen können nur nach Absprache und Abnahme durch den Kursleiter verwendet werden.
- Pfeile müssen leider selbst gekauft werden, da diese Verbrauchsmaterial sind – dazu mehr am Infoabend. Auch diese müssen vom Kursleiter abgenommen werden.
- Bitte haltet davon Abstand vor dem Infoabend einen eigenen Bogen oder irgendwelche Pfeile zu kaufen, da man sonst sehr schnell unpassendes Material kauft. Wenn ihr bereits etwas habt, bringt es zur Überprüfung einfach zum ersten Termin mit - im Zweifelsfall kann es dann aber sein, dass ihr kein nutzbares Material zum ersten Termin habt!
Für erfahrene Bogenschütz*innen:
- Wer einfach nur einen Bogen schon mal in der Hand hatte, zählt nicht als erfahrene*r Bogenschütz*in und muss an den Pflichtterminen für Anfänger*innen teilnehmen.
- Schütz*innen, die nachweislich bereits jahrelang in Vereinen (oder vergleichbar) aktiv waren, können mit eigenem Material nach einer kleinen Sicherheitseinweisung teilnehmen und können ab dem vierten Termin (oder im Sommer parallel Samstags) dazukommen (oder gern auch beim Anfängerkurs und dort die Sicherheitseinweisung automatisch mitmachen).
- Da wir aber nur einen begrenzten Trainingsplatz haben sind diese Plätze leider begrenzt, daher müssen sich auch erfahrene Bogenschütz*innen zum Infoabend anmelden und kommen, so dass wir bei einer zu hohen Nachfrage ebenfalls losen können.
Für bisherige Teilnehmer*innen:
- Teilnehmer*innen aus dem vorherigen Semester können sich bis zum Tag vor dem Infoabend direkt am Kurs anmelden (meldet euch bitte nicht zum Infoabend an). Alle nicht vergebenen Plätze gehen ebenfalls mit in die Verlosung.
FAQ:
Da ich manche Fragen jedes Semester neu gefragt werde, obwohl sie oben bereits beschrieben sind, hier noch die häufigsten Fragen und Antworten.
- Ja, ihr könnt euch jetzt noch nicht für den Kurs selbst anmelden. Ja, dafür braucht man ein Passwort, dass die Ausgelosten am Infoabend erhalten.
- Teilnehmer*innen aus den vorherigen Semestern erhalten als Erste das Vorrecht weiterhin teilzunehmen und können sich vorab anmelden. Alle noch freien Plätze gehen am Infoabend in die Verlosung.
- Das Verlosungssystem erkläre ich am Infoabend. Die Verlosungswarteliste ist nicht dasselbe wie die Warteliste auf dem Buchungsbutton.
- Wenn ihr euch nicht mehr für den Infoabend anmelden könnt, liegt das (zu 99.9%) daran, dass der Infoabend schon ausgebucht ist. Ja, auch wenn es jetzt erst 15 Minuten nach Anmeldungseröffnung ist.
- Es kommt nur auf die Verlosungswarteliste wer zum Infoabend angemeldet ist UND am Infoabend anwesend ist UND zur Verlosung noch anwesend ist UND mir eine e-Mail direkt danach schreibt.
- Alle Interessierten, die bereits auf meiner Verlosungswarteliste stehen, brauchen sich nicht für den Infoabend anzumelden. Ihr braucht aber auch nicht zum Infoabend kommen, da ich bereits vor dem Infoabend von der Verlosungswarteliste auslosen werde - und unter Umständen kein Infoabend stattfindet, wenn es keine freien Plätze mehr gibt.
- Wenn jemand nicht auf meine Mail antwortet, dass ihr von der Verlosungswarteliste ausgelost wurdet, wird von der Warteliste genommen und der Platz wird neu ausgelost (ich muss dann annehmen, dass entweder kein Interesse mehr besteht, oder die Emailadresse nicht mehr existiert).
- Ihr steht maximal für 2 Semester auf der Verlosungswarteliste, da ihr ja in der Zwischenzeit die Uni verlassen haben könnt oder gar kein Interesse mehr habt.
- Auch neue Fortgeschrittene müssen sich für den Infoabend anmelden und werden dort mit ausgelost.
Damit konnte ich hoffentlich nun alle Fragen vorab beantworten und wenn doch nicht, werde ich diese Liste hier ausbauen.
Archery, like many martial arts, is primarily a sport today, but it also has a meditative component. So you can find your inner peace with the bow as a balance to stressful everyday life, just as you can prepare for competitions.
In this course, we will mainly teach traditional "instinctive" archery with the recurve bow, i.e. without sight and modern technology, only with bow and arrow. However, as you progress we will also show you the other options, such as the WorldArchery (formerly) FITA format, which you may know from the Olympic Games and is also used in university championships, or plastic 3D targets, which are used in hunting-style tournaments.
For training please bring clothing appropriate for the weather. We will be shooting outside in all weather conditions - even in rain and snow. So remember to bring appropriately warm or rainproof clothing or sun protection and especially in summertime also enough to drink.
For all newly interested - Beginners and Advanced alike:
- Information evening (date and time see below) - Unfortunately, due to the situational circumstances, we only have a limited number of places for participants, so only seriously interested people should come to the information evening in the first place. Unfortunately, we can only determine at this information evening who and how many can participate - if there are more participants than places, we will have to draw lots. The information evening will be online. The link will be sent only to registered participants on the same day. If for some reason the course is fully booked (with previous semsters participants and from the waiting list) it is possible, there will be no information evening!
- With the start of the semester, we also start with the regular free shooting (for new advanced participants after the information evening, for beginners after the compulsory dates)
- In the wintersemester free shooting is Saturday 12:00 to 15:00* hrs (*max. until sundown).
- In the summersemester free shooting is Saturday 12:00 to 15:00 hrs and Wednesday 18:00 to 21:00* hrs (*max. until sundown).
- Even in lecture-free times.
- Visiting a Parcours. Depending on the interest we might visit a nearby Archeryparcours to test the newly aquired skills in practice. More Information and discussion during the course.
For all new Beginners:
- The 3 beginners course dates are compulsory dates (exact dates at the information evening) where every participant must be present. We will teach you the basics of safety and technique that are necessary and that everyone must know in order to be able to participate in regular free shooting. If you already know that you will not be able to participate in each of these dates, you unfortunately do not need to come to the information evening (maybe it will work out next semester) - the three dates in summer semester are usually beginning or mid May, in winter semester usually beginning or mid November, and are always on saturdays 12-15.
- Bows, arm guards and finger tabs will be provided for the course by the university. Own bows can only be used after consultation and approval by the course instructor.
- Unfortunately, arrows have to be bought by the participants themselves, as they are consumables - more on this at the information evening. These must also be approved by the course instructor.
- Please refrain from buying your own bow or any arrows before the information evening, otherwise you will very quickly buy unsuitable equipment. If you already own something, just bring it to the first time for inspection - but be aware, that in case of unsuitable equipment you might not have usable equipment für the first time!
For experienced Archers:
- Anyone who has simply held a bow before does not count as an experienced archer and must participate in the compulsory sessions.
- Archers who can prove that they have been active in clubs (or similar) for many years can participate with their own equipment after a short safety briefing and can join us from the fourth date onwards (or in summer parallel saturdays). You are welcome to take part in the beginners course.
- However, as we only have a limited number for participants, experienced archers must also come to the information evening, so that we can also draw lots if demand is too high.
For Archers from the previous semester:
- All participants from the previous semester can register in the course directly until the day before the information evening (do not register for the Information evening). All open places until then will go into the lottery.
FAQ:
There are a lot of questions I get every semester anew, even if most of them are already described above. Here the most frequently asked questions and answers:
- Yes, you cannot register for the course now. You need a password for that, which only the winners of the lottery in the information evening are getting.
- All participants from previous semesters have the possibility to pre-register first. All open spots at the time of the information evening will be in the lottery.
- I will explain the lottery-system at the information evening. Take note: the waiting list from the button on the website is not the same as the waiting list for the lottery.
- If you cannot register for the information eveing, than most likely (about 99.9%) the reason is, that it is already booked fully. Yes, even if it is only 15 minutes after registration opened.
- You get on the lottery waiting list only IF you are at the information evening AND are registered for it AND are still in the call during lottery AND write me an email directly afterwards that you want to be on the lottery waiting list.
- All interested future archers to not need to register for (nor come to) an information evening a second time if you are already on my lottery waiting list. The lottery for the waiting list will take place before the information evening and I will inform all winners. It might happen, that we do not have any more open spots left, so in that case, no information evening will happen this semester.
- If you win the waiting list lottery, I will send an eMail. If you do not respond in time I will remove you from the waiting list and draw new (I have to assume you are not interested anymore or the emailadress might not exist anymore).
- You will be on the lottery waiting list for maximum 2 semesters. After that I have to assume you are not interesed anymore or maybe even left the university.
- If you are an advanced archer, you also have to register for the information evening and be there, like everybody else, because you will take part in the lottery as well.
